Constance Sullivan Eaton, 94, longtime resident of
Great Neck, Ipswich, passed away peacefully in her
daughter’s Newburyport home on Wednesday June 3, 2020, surrounded by her
loved ones. Born on January 2, 1926 in Manchester, NH, she was the
youngest child of Thomas and Catherine M. (Cronin) Sullivan. Connie
attended the University of New Hampshire and graduated from New England
School of Art. She and her husband, Baird K. Eaton made their home in
Manchester-by-the-Sea where they were blessed with three children. Connie
was a well-known artist and the owner of Salt Aire Studio. Following the
death of her husband, Connie and her significant
other, Gordon P. Larson, made their home in Ipswich. Connie was known for
her adventurous spirit, love of life, and ability to make the most of
every day and night.Connie
is survived by her daughters, Kathryn S. Eaton and Margaret A. Eaton;
a son, Thomas S. Eaton; grandchildren, Johana Comeau, Jesse Eaton, John
Eaton, Joshua Eaton, Jesse Belanger, Jason Eaton, Eliza MacDiarmid, Tamera
Brown, Daniel Millett, Joseph Millett and many, many great and
great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband
Baird she was predeceased by her significant other, Gordon; granddaughter
Irene Sullivan MacDiarmid and her five siblings.
A private Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
Our Lady of Hope Church in Ipswich to be attended by her closest family
and friends. Interment will follow in the New Highland
Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home of Ipswich.
In
lieu of flowers, Connie has expressed that she would like memorial
contributions in her name be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children, 262
