Christopher J. Brown
Christopher J. Brown, 72, of Reagan Drive,
Rochester, NH, passed away on November 22, 2021 at Massachusetts General
Hospital in Boston following his lengthy and complicated illness. He was
the husband of Patricia A. Blaisdell of Rochester, NH.
Christopher was born in Gloucester on March 19,
1949 son of the late Manuel and Everetta (Oliver) Brown. He was raised in
Gloucester and was a 1967 graduate of Gloucester High School. Following
their marriage, the Brown’s made their home in Essex for the next
twenty-three years, briefly lived in Rowley and then Rochester for the
past seventeen years. During many of these years he was employed at Avnet
in Peabody and more recently as a personal limousine driver.
Chris was much loved by his family and many
friends. He was always ready with a smile, a laugh, or a really great
story, whether it was the blizzard of ‘78 disaster relief, or his Goofy
impressions. Those who knew and loved him will forever remember his quick
wit, easy laugh, and his ability to calm all those around him. Chris
selflessly dedicated the last years of his life to the upbringing and care
of his youngest son, Andrew. Chris was an incredibly devoted father. He
not only provided a loving home for Andrew, but he skillfully created an
environment that was customized to his son and his needs. He leaves a hole
in our hearts that will never be filled. His family and friends will
remember him with love for the rest of their days. He was a proud Army
National Guard veteran.
I addition to his wife Patricia he is survived
by a daughter, Jennifer Brown of Salem, two sons, Andrew Brown of
Rochester, NH and Michael Weeks of Salem, four grandchildren, Tyler, DJ,
Izabella and Maico, and several nephews and nieces.
He
was the brother of the late Stephen Brown and Sheila Brown Dunton, both
formerly of Gloucester.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
