Cheryl A. (Blake) Laterowicz

Cheryl A. (Blake) Laterowicz, 63, of Agawam Village, Ipswich, died
Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Hunt Rehabilitation Center in Danvers.
Born in Lynn on December 2, 1956, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of
Barbara J. Blake of Ipswich and the late Richard E. Blake. She was
raised in Ipswich and attended the Ipswich public schools. She
remained in Ipswich most of her life. In her younger years, Cheryl ran
her own cleaning business, worked at Ipswich Shellfish and was a
member of the National Guard. After receiving a TBI (traumatic brain
injury) in 1990, she worked ferociously to remain independent, and for
the last thirty years she achieved those goals with the love and help of
family, community and friends. Cheryl really enjoyed doing crafts,
drinking her iced coffee and celebrating any type of event. Her
generosity and genuine happiness will be sorely missed. In addition to
her devoted mother, she is survived by a son, whom she
loved with all her heart, Daniel E. Laterowicz, Jr. of Pennsylvania; two
brothers, Richard E. Blake of North Carolina, Brian E. Blake of New
Jersey; a sister, Joanne L. Blanchette and her husband George of
Ipswich and a step-sister, Kim White of Peabody. She was the mother
of the late infant Stephen B. Laterowicz and sister of the late Susan E.
(Blake) Grieco who sadly passed in 2016. She is also survived by
several nieces, nephews and great nephews, Evan and Joey who were
very special and brought her so much joy. A private funeral service
will be held graveside in the New Highland
Cemetery Ipswich. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. Memorial donations may be made to
