Charles Edward Wear Jr., 78, of Ipswich passed from this life quietly
on Friday morning February 15, 2019, following a sudden brief illness.
Charlie was the son of the late Charles and
Alice (Murphy) Wear. He was a native of Charlestown and was very
proud of his Irish heritage and “Townie” roots.
Charlie’s greatest passion in life was
motorcycles. He loved the freedom of the road and enjoyed many
cross-country adventures.
He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-one
years Caroline (Day), his son Charles E. Wear III, daughter Diane
Couris, granddaughters Grace Pearson, Bailey Pearson, and Elizabeth
Wear, his sister Linda Davis, and last but not least his beloved
“pup-pup” Suzy Murphy.
He was predeceased by his grandson Grant
Pearson and his brother Robert Wear.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home of Ipswich. The
family will honor Charlie’s wish to hold no funeral service, and
burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a
