Carolyn M. Campbell

Carolyn M. Campbell, 89, of Pine Tree Drive, South Hamilton, died Friday
March 20, 2020 in the Beverly Hospital following her extended illness. She
was the wife of the late Richard D. Campbell.
Born in Newton September 30, 1930, she was the
daughter of the late James M. and Mary J. (Totten) Currie. She was raised
in Newton and was educated in local public schools. She was employed as a
waitress for many years before relocating to Essex to live with her
daughter and family. She was employed part-time at the Richdale in Essex
until her retirement.
Carolyn was a strong, sweet, kind and caring person
loved by all her family and friends. She will be greatly
missed by all her family and especially the light of her life, her great
grandson Campbell.
She is survived by her son Donald R. Campbell and
his wife Patricia of Wellesley, her daughters Carolyn L. Knowlton of
Hamilton and Blanche E. Arnold and her husband Edward of Holliston, her
grandchildren Bradford Knowlton, Jr, Tammy Ercha, John Lyons, Jennifer
Lyons-Sigouin and Jason Lyons, several great-grandchildren and a
great-great-grandchild. She was the sister of the late James M. Currie and
her sister, Barbara L. Fitzgerald.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. Donations may be made in her
memory to the First Congregational Church of Essex “Steeple Fund” PO Box
275, Essex, MA 01929 or a charity of one’s choice.
