Benjamin M. Colaneri

Benjamin M. Colaneri, 16, son of Michael L. and Karen A. (Langis) Colaneri of Ruths Way, Ipswich, died Friday, July 30, 2021 in the Beverly Hospital from injuries sustained that day in a bicycle motor vehicle accident in Ipswich.

Ben was born in Beverly on July 25, 2005. He attended New Hope Courses for Home Schoolers in Boxford. A very active young man, Ben will be remembered by family and friends for his great smile and enthusiasm in his many pursuits.  He was a Senior Master Sergeant in the Seacoast Squadron of Civil Air Patrol at the Pease Air Force Base and rowed with the Gordon College Junior Rowing Team. Ben had a red belt in the martial art Tang Soo Do, was an avid snowboarder, was artistic with pencil sketches and wood burning, and enjoyed playing Minecraft. He was a follower of Jesus and an active participant in the youth group at First Presbyterian Church of the North Shore. 

In addition to his parents Michael and Karen, Ben is survived by his brother, Cameron S. Colaneri and his sister, Alexandra J. Colaneri, both of Ipswich, his fraternal grandmother, Jean McGovern of Coventry, RI, his maternal grandmother, Terri Langis of Somerset, and many, many friends.
