Audrey L. (Fessenden) Kish


Audrey L. (Fessenden) Kish, 91 of Bear Puddin Lane, North Conway, New Hampshire, died February 11, 2017 in the Memorial Hospital in North Conway following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Andrew H. Kish who died in 2004.

Born in Boston on March 5, 1925, the daughter of the late Walter D. and Eliza (Sheppard) Fessenden, she was raised in Ipswich and was a 1944 graduate of Ipswich High School.

Married on May 25, 1947 in Ipswich, where they made her home before moving to Hamilton where they raised their family and lived for fifty-four years.

Audrey worked for several years at the Beverly National Bank in Beverly. In retirement    she opened her own in home rug hooking business where she taught rug hooking as recently as five years ago.  She loved hooking rugs and knitting for friends and family.

She was a long time member of the Art Guild and the Christ Church in Hamilton.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathie Markos and her husband Peter of North Conway, NH and Karen Brown and her husband Robert Brown of Cape Coral, FL; three granddaughters, Kelley Ericson of Portsmouth, NH, Johanna Markos and her fiancé Jon Bradley of Revere and Krystina McFarland and her husband Tim McFarland of Hamilton; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Phillip and Richard Fessenden, Sr, both of Ipswich.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11 am in the Christ Church of Hamilton and Wenham, 149 Asbury Street, Hamilton.  Family and friends are respectfully welcomed.  Interment in the Hamilton Cemetery was private.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 9 Erie Drive, Suite 101, Natick, MA 01760.
