Andrea (McCarthy) Walsh, 82, wife of John F. Walsh, longtime resident of Ipswich, died Monday, June 26, 2017 in her home.

Born September 10, 1934 in Medford she was raised in Medford a 1952 graduate of Medford High School. Married in 1962 the Walsh’s made their home in Stoneham, Pennsylvania and for the past fifty years in Ipswich. For many of these years she was employed as a personal assistant in the financial service industry. Mrs. Walsh was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church in Ipswich.

In addition to her husband  she is survived by a son, John P. Walsh; a daughter, Amy Nusslein of Stoneham; a grandson, Luke Nusslein of Stoneham and several nephews and nieces. She was the sister of he late George W. McCarthy formerly of Belmont, Ruth Grainger of Winchester, Margaret Dolan of CT and Clare Preissing formerly of IL.

Her funeral will be held 8 am Friday, June 30 from the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St., Ipswich followed by the celebration of a  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Our Lady of Hope Church, Linebrook Rd., Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
