Aloisia U. (Sommerer) Comeau, 77, wife of the late Harold G. Comeau, Jr, died Saturday December 8, 2007 in the Caldwell Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following her extended illness.

Born in Rauris, Austria April 11, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Maria (Groder) Sommerer. Married in 1952 in Germany, she and her husband lived in California and Texas before relocating to Ipswich in 1969. She was a food service employee at Ipswich High School, retiring after ten years of service. She was a former communicant of St Stanislaus Church in Ipswich, and a former member of the Ipswich Woman’s Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and maintaining her home.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Comeau and her fiancé Gary Gray, and granddaughter Elizabeth Gray, all of Ipswich, her brother, Johann Sommerer of Austria and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday December 12, 8am from the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich, followed by a 9am Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Church, Pineswamp Road, Ipswich. Interment will be in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4 to 8 pm.
